Whereabouts

Whereabouts is an essential tool in in upholding clean sport. By providing their daily Whereabouts, players ensure that the ITIA can operate a no-notice testing programme and maintain the integrity of the game. 
 
Whereabouts is a requirement of the World Anti-Doping Code, and is filed using the World Anti-Doping Agency’s ADAMS platform.

Players part of the International Registered Testing Pool (IRTP) are required to provide information on their location through the World Anti-Doping Agency’s platform, ADAMS, to support delivery of the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme. 
 
Those selected for the 2024 IRTP includes (but is not limited to) the top 100 men and women by singles rankings, top 10 players by doubles rankings and top 10 men, women and quad wheelchair players. This is list is made publicly available and can be accessed further down this page. 

This does not mean that players who have not been selected for the IRTP are not subject to Out-of-Competition testing; every player is subject to Out-of-Competition testing at all times. However, only people in the IRTP have to provide whereabouts information for every day of the year.

No-notice testing is a fundamental pillar of an effective anti-doping programme, ensuring a level-playing field for every participant. 
 
For players selected in the pool, complying with Whereabouts requirements is crucial. Three non-compliances – filing failures or missed tests – within 12 months may result in a sanction.
