The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that tennis official Damjan Dejanovic, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been suspended for four years following six breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).
Dejanovic, a national-level official, admitted to wagering on professional tennis matches, but denied charges relating to the manipulation of entry of scoring data, and conspiring to commit corruption offenses in relation to two matches they officiated. A hearing was held via video conference on 9 October 2024, from which independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Diana Tesic found Dejanovic liable for all six alleged breaches of the TACP between 2022 and 2023.
Dejanovic, who has officiated at ITF $15K events, has also been fined €5,000. Time served under provisional suspension is credited against the period of ineligibility. Dejanovic has been provisionally suspended since 8 January 2024, as such, their suspension will end on 7 January 2028.
During the period of ineligibility, Dejanovic is prohibited from officiating at or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.
The ITIA is an independent body established by its tennis members to promote, encourage, enhance, and safeguard the integrity of professional tennis events worldwide.
