The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has today confirmed that Clement Reix, a French former professional tennis player and current coach, has been suspended from the sport for 12 months and fined $10,000 following two breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).
The breaches are related to proceedings brought against Reix’s former spouse, Sherazad Reix, who was charged with - and did not contest - six breaches of the TACP, leading to a four-year suspension.
Clement Reix was determined by independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Amani Khalifa to have accepted payment to negatively influence the performance of Sherazad Reix at an event, as well as failing to report a corrupt offense. Both offenses occurred in 2018.
The case related to ongoing law enforcement investigations in conjunction with the ITIA in Belgium, which has seen a number of tennis players implicated in match-fixing incidents, with the leader of the syndicate receiving a five-year custodial sentence in June 2023.
The sanction means that from 25 July 2023 until 24 July 2024, Clement Reix is prohibited from playing in, coaching at or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the governing bodies of tennis.
The ITIA is an independent body established by the International Governing Bodies of Tennis to promote, encourage, enhance and safeguard the integrity of professional tennis worldwide.

Clement Reix was found to have breached the following clauses of the TACP:
One breach of D.1.f: No Covered Person shall, directly or indirectly, solicit or accept any money, benefit or Consideration with the intention of negatively influencing a Player's best efforts in any Event.
One breach of D.2.a.ii. In the event any Player knows or suspects that any other Covered Person or other individual has committed a Corruption Offense, it shall be the Player’s obligation to report such knowledge or suspicion to the ITIA as soon as possible.
